Dameron Architecture is a Brooklyn-based, multi-disciplinary studio that specializes in ecology-inspired projects and the art of adaptive reuse. We design fantastical, expressive buildings and living landscapes that connect people to nature.
We provide full architectural services, from feasibility and schematic design through construction administration. We also help clients before a project is defined — visioning, zoning studies, programming, site selection, and master planning — and often stay on as an advisor and advocate for the cause behind the building, from fundraising to business strategy.
Chris Dameron
Founder, Architect
Chris Dameron founded Dameron Architecture in 2009 to practice architecture in line with his ecological convictions: build less, reuse more, and let a site's history shape what comes next. He leads the studio's design work and client relationships, from first conversation through construction. Chris teaches materiality at Parsons School of Design, and holds a Master of Architecture from Parsons and a BS in Architecture from the University of Virginia. He lives in Brooklyn with his family and tends a rooftop garden of flowering perennials.
Emily Anderson
Partner, Architect
Emily Anderson is a partner at Dameron Architecture and has practiced there since 2013. She is involved in every phase of the studio's work, from early design through construction, including Carroll Hall and the Kijana Global Innovation School. Trained first as a furniture designer, she brings that discipline's exactness to how buildings are detailed and built. Emily holds a Master of Architecture from Parsons School of Design and a BFA in Furniture Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, and received the Parsons Thesis Prize and the AIA Henry Adams Medal in 2010.
