Built in 1910, this two-story townhouse has remained in the same family for generations. The house has had many modifications over the years, making it a museum of ornamental moldings, casings and wall panels. Our challenge was to tie them all together while making use of material onsite. What is old and what is new?

We restored and recreated some of these historic conditions to highlight the original character of the house. As doors and walls moved around, we carefully removed woodwork during the demolition stage, and reused it case new door openings.

The renovation also reconfigured the spatial layout of each floor—bringing the functionality up-to-date and creating new opportunities for light to enter the core of the house.
